Paying cash for the car is a very smart thing, the smartest way to pay for a vehicle. What, invest 35 grand in stocks instead, like in a Chinese internet stock that went up 3100% YTD? Get 0.25% interest in the bank? Maybe 2% with ING Orange? The only dumb thing is the 30k in a suitcase, but you know what? This is the web, I don't even believe that actually happened.
