Power engine flush

Saw a brochure this AM about a Power engine flush. Apparently the technology is attached to the oil filter port and the drain pan. The system forces a pulsating wave of solvents through the engine to wash out sludge which builds up inside the system. Yikes... Sounds like an enema for your car.
Has anyone heard of this or had it performed? I'm not running out to get it done but I'd like to hear what you all think.

I've performed the engine flush on my 91 Corolla when it had around 110K km on it. It made a world of difference. The engine revved smoother, didn't make as much noise, and had just bit more of pickup. However when the same power flush was done on my uncle's 94 4cly Galant, it didn't make much of a difference. So you mileage may vary.
BTW, this was done at Costco in Toronto.

Reason for asking is that I've developed a pretty good relationship with their tire shop here and would like to maybe try to encourage them in that direction.
They do oil changes, tires install/alignment, sell/install car batteries, engine power flush and general maintenance stuff like that.
This is the Costco at Ellesmere/Birchmount in Toronto (Scarborough). Don't know if the other Costcos in Toronto have the same service.
