300ZX brake Conversion?
Im planning on getting the Z brakes for may 99. What year and model 300ZX do the breaks need to be from? What parts will I need besides the calipers and rotors. Anyone whith this mod have any imput on the quality of that setup in the Maxima.

You'll need the rotors and calipers from any '91 and up 300ZX, turbo or non turbo, they're the same. Just don't get the brakes from a '90, they're a little thinner and more prone to warpage (although) that probably wouldn't be an issue on a Maxima. Get SS lines to firm things up a bit since the larger pistons cause the brakes to feel a little mushy. Get the SS lines made for a Maxima, the caliper fittings are the same for the Z calipers. Also some cutting needs to be done for everything to fit. As for feel, it's not that different. The brakes have more power, and a lot less fade than the stock maxima brakes, but it's not a tremendous difference. The brakes are more progressive, at first they feel like stock, but if you push harder, they bite a lot harder. Make sure you get wheels that will clear, the stock wheels will not clear, and a lot of aftermarket wheels won't either. I just got new 19"s today and they won't fit on the front, there's not enough clearance. So tomorrow I have to go get some wheel spacers. You need an offset of at least 38 and preferrably 35. The wheels I just got are a 42 offset and won't clear by about 5 mm. Don't get wheels with a big lip or thick spokes, they won't clear. Email me if you need detailed instructions about the install, everything pretty much bolts up after you've done the necessary cutting for clearance.

You can just buy my brand new 300ZX upgrade->
New power stop cross drilled rotors already cut down to the correct size. New Axxis metal master pads. New 300ZX calipers. New shims from Nissan. All for $375 plus shipping. If you went out and buy all these on your own. It will cost you $500.
