the VE already has the largest stroke of all the Maxima Engines

all you need to do is bore it out some.

4th gen edged out 3rd gen again slightly.

from what i hear they were pretty even races. slammed got to the end before aaron 2 of 3 times.
you guys talk about facts well those were the facts. aaron says he has something for andy. then we will see.

these two cars are pretty evenly matched in mods and both automatics. both know how to drive.
Let me put it this way then, who fu*king cares about aaron vs. slammed race. If the favorite gen edge depended on the outcome of two random guys racing then you could flush this poll down the toilet. It is about both tangible and intangible satisfaction. If it was about performance only this poll would say "what is the fastest gen maxima?".

Well, Andy did have smaller/lighter wheels than me, GForce ECU, CF hood, Hyperground kit and racing seat. All those mods, probably should make him 3 tenths faster in the 1/4 mile. All the mods I'm lacking, I think I'm doing pretty well for keeping up within 3 inches if his front bumper.

Frank, we can race also if you want. I didn't say I can own you, but we can see. I also have a little fun grudge match with Alphonso. I might even let him spray his nitrous on his modded VQ 5spd.

it was opinion, and escalated to bashing the older gens (specifically 3rd, no one seems to car about 1st and 2nd)..i'm just trying to get an idea for why there is so much hated toward us(3rd gen'ers) and what can be done to get at least a little respect. the outcome of the poll should already be known, 3rd gen owned you 4th gen guys, 5th gen came a close second...............so far

i cant wait to see what aaron runs, hes helped me out on a few things and i'd like to think i gave him at little insight on a few others..i know his stuff works, its just a matter of how much of a difference it'll make.

ECU SHOULD make more difference than advanced timing, ecu gives you advanced timing as well as new timing/fuel maps correct? also, IIRC, aaron's VTC isnt functional so technically hes at a huge disadvantage (thats if i'm correct in saying his are dead).
your tranny does put you at a huge disadvantage, so between aarons VTC and your tranny, i'd say as soon as(IF) he gets an ECU, you guys should be evenly matched as far as mods go.
just think of your tranny self destruction as weight reduction

That is such BS a 65 shot would of worked you. Should I post the vid of dragaxima vs. bagss? here are two evenly modded VE and VQ 5 speeds.

http://dmontzmax.maximaclubca.com/MaximaVideo's/3rd%20gen%20vs.%204th%20gen.mpeg

how about that one?

I have more...

Neither the 4th gens or 3rd gens are getting updated from the factory and improving, they are what they are. We just need to realize that it all depends on car and driver, heck you can take two 97 SE 5 speeds with the same mods and one will beat the other down. So 4th genners please respect and life is easy, realize that your older brother is right there with you at all times and there is no way around that.

And everybody knows how bad my tranny slips from 1-2 and 2-3, since I don't have a VB mod like you do.
Close races, yes. We'll do it again soon.
Yeah, your steel wheels are probably the same weight as my stockers, maybe more. But you did have 205/50R15 which gives a 23" OD rather than the 25" for stock diameter. Much better gearing for an automatic. That will probably only help no more than one tenth. I have a Hyperground kit now. haha... just a few wires around my engine bay. Might give a half of HP.

My VB mod did shave probably one full tenth in the 1/4 mile. So it does help. And my advanced timing is nothing compared to an upgraded ECU. But advanced timing does help shave atleast one tenth.

So you don't have ECU anymore? And you still want to race? I know it's a friendly race. Probably not to some of the readers up here, but we know each other and it's always a blast when we hit the track.

I am STILL waiting for Fontana to release a stupid winter schedule so I can start making plans for a trip out to SoCal.

So you'd rather have a whole car made of carbon fiber?

I would, if it was painted black.

my only complaint with CF is that when you simply add it to your car it makes no sense, you are adding weight (I know it is light) but you are still adding on. Now replacing hoods, fenders, trunks, etc...is different. Due to ricers going crazy with CF it is now looked at as rice. On that note...CF rims anyone?
