It's sealed like crazy. The only way I've heard of people opening them is by using a dremel with a lot of patience.

Hmm, they must have used some sort of sealant that doesn't soften when heated huh?

My buddy just bought a set of 2k1 tails for his 2k3 so we will be trying to open the set we remove. If I have any success, I will certainly start doing this for people.

get leds, get resistors...

attach wires to proper brake wires and continue on...

it's nice... and not very hard to do... :-/

Just everyone's freaking out over making them and you have some guy trying to compete with you over making a better one... which is odd because it's not too hard to make...
