Couple new pics of Shadow's car...
Car leaves for BATLGround for all the welding and jig work tomorrow morning so I had to piece it back together. Figured I would take some better pics of the intercooler behind the Sarona. The car hasn't moved in over a month and so we're sending it in to get the fuel setup installed and pipe work TIG'd together while we wait for the backordered components. And anyone who's seen it since the accident knows its been in a work-in-progress for over a year now so getting it together has been a bit slow. The fab work for the pipes is as complete as it can get with the turbo still MIA for polishing.
Intercooler fills the Sarona nicely but it isn't as impressive as Sadler's grossly oversized setup. The grille is missing for a little design work...I'm planning for something a bit different that we may market later
Looks pretty mean but since there is no turbo yet it's pure rice. Feel free to deride him as you please.
Interior is gutted for the whole new interior...Only 1 race seat and being a basic GXE it's probably as light as any Maxima has ever been.
And Shadow's been too lazy to remove his old decals...yet another reason to call him out for having a slow riced out car.
Hopefully the turbo will arrive any day and the car will be up and running within days of that. It's pretty fugly right now but the stereo, body, and interior work are all on hiatus until the turbo is up and the car can finally put down some numbers that the supercharger could never accomplish.

Those stickers have been on the car for a while. I was sponsored by all those companies except Vortech (that was just there to cut down on the idiots revving on me). Had to have the logos on there. They're all coming off the car shortly when it goes into the body shop again.
And I think the turbo is about the easiest mod we're doing on the car right now fabrication wise. Everything else is going to take much longer. When the car is done, nothing will look like it does now.

Seriously though, the car is pretty tight, with or without the hairdryer.

More frustrating and time consuming than exciting
Kind of sucks not driving regularly driving the car in the past 6 months. Just watching it sit around, wanting to work on it but no time to and so on. Hopefully we'll be done by early next year. I spent this past year mostly working on my girlfriend's turbo Integra but now that's pretty much done, so now it's time for the Maxima.

I already spend more time on this forum than any other person who has never owned a Maxima. Besides I like to be an objective outsider...
Sprint,
I post the pics b/c I'm the one that ends up working on the cars all day while Shadow tries to get everyone's order out on time and correct. He dreams up all the crap he wants for his car and buys it while I'm the one that ends up building most of it.

as long as those stickers are eventually coming off the car...i like the look. the window banners arent doing it for me. any shots of his interior set up? cant see it through the stickers...

Windshield banner is going to change to Evolution-Autodesign once we strip everything. We may build the car b/c we love building a Maxima but we have to have some way to help pay for it.
The interior right now isn't exactly hard to imagine...gutted to the point where it's just one seat and the driver's door panel. Also there's Sunkist bottles everywhere from Sadler driving it around while his car was in little pieces. So it's not exactly a pretty sight.
Getting frustrating now that the turbo still isn't here and we're having battery issues just getting the car to the shop. Went through similar frustrations w/ Sadler's car too but this time I might actually get a ride in it or even drive it occasionally.

i understand that funding is a necessity, but the lower and upper windshield banners... too much for me. then all the side stickers too. the cars looking pretty sharp beside that...im happy to hear that you got a good supportive sponsor too

you could have driven my car, i wouldnt have minded at all, but you can't open my hood anymore
and my favorite part of the body kit is the shelf in the garage, i mean.. rear bumper.

Just wasn't around when the car was actually running...and guess it was good enough to see the car blow by me at 100+ on the freeway.

Take a wild guess
I've been accumulating parts while the car is down. I've got an entire shelving unit of parts that need to go on. Here's a rough count
4 amps
2 subs
speakers
2 TV's
3 capacitors
PS2
Seats
2 nitrous bottles
4 gauges
steering wheel
and all the turbo stuff
not counting yards of fiberglass, gallons of resin, and a bunch of billet aluminum to hold everything. Yeah, it's going to be a while before the car gets together. It's been down so long, I just keep adding things to the list.

A lot of silver, and a lot of metal going in so I figured it would match.
