Maxima.org is truely a family

I had an Injector go out on me and I did not feel comfortable in the doing the replacement myself so I asked someone in the northest forum if they would help me out and sure enough someone stepped right up and said Ill help you out. So I drove an hour and a half to southern Jersey to meet up with Keith and we get to work on the injector. About 2 and a half hours later we are done. First we cranked it over when we were done and the EGR was making noise as if there was a leak, so we look and cant find anything and stupid me put the new gasket upside down(duh) and we fixed that and man she purred awesome. Great learning experience not only for me but for Keith too. The Nupe500 stopped down and we were gonna go to town on the brake upgrade and we were running out of light and we realized he needed a few more thing for them to fit. You'll see in the pics of him grinding down some stuff

It's places like this where people you dont even know are willing to spend there free saturday helping you fix a maxima. Long live the org! Here are some pics of our saturday...

KiLLer2002SE helped me out replacing my spark plugs yesterday. I drove almost 2 hours from my house for the help since my dealer wanted $300 just to replace the rear 3 plugs and here I only spent $36!

Long live the org!

slight OTness: do the 300z calipers clear those mustang wheels? please say yes please please please! I'm just going to use the 300zx rotors aswell, not doing the cobra stuff (or atleast not for a while).

btw, Kevin, that first pic in the second post looks like Nupe's car is just sitting on the ground, lol.

He is holding it up with his lon #ss legs He's got jack stands under there

For the rotors question I'll let nupe take care of that since I dont want to steer anyone in the wrong direction but I believe he needs spaces and longer studs but do not quote me on that.

MrGone,

You will need spacers..as that is what I need...to clear the rims...the offset totally screws ya...I was disappointed a bit...but its all good...in due time. I'm planning to go the same route you are for now...and maybe go with cobras later

I've always had good experieces on the org...so its all good.

Actually it's not the offset. My rims have the same offset but clear the 300z brakes fine. Even with the brackets. It's the spoke design.
