The clunk is gone, here's what I did....

That famous annoying slight clunk from the rear suspension is completely gone as of this morning. My rear setup was H&R/AGX with Motivational mounts. It's now H&R/Illumina with Motivational mounts. The AGX's I took out are still as firm as the day I put them in. Seems like nothing is wrong with them once their out of the car. The piston moves very smoothly (stiff though) throughout it's stroke. Can't feel or hear anything in the shock. My springs looked fine, no sign of coils banging into each other either. All the bushings, which I replaced last winter look like new as well. I did change the bushing configuration around a bit when I put the assembly back together. The hard red urathane bushing that comes with the M.V. mounts were not reused. I used the softer OEM small bushing in it's place.

So now the assembly order is; KYB dust cover, washer, small oem bushing (nub up), mount, large oem bushing(nub down) small oem bushing (nub shaved off so it sits flat against the larger bushing), washer and nut.

The ride changed for the better yet again. The rear seems to absorb bumps smoother and finally quieter. I have everything set on 2 and quite frankly you'd never know your riding in a lowered car. It's just as smooth as silk on the highway. Probably smoother then a stock SE setup yet it still handles awsome and feels firmly planted to the road.

I had that light clunk from the rear even when my rear suspension was completely stock, aside from the AGX shocks. As of today, it's finally gone and I'm on a complete Tokico Illumina setup.

That's pretty funny. i really do appreciate the knowledge that Tom brings to the org about suspensions though. I guess it's tough to look lowered and still ride nice.
