Full Size SPare

I apologize in advance, as I am sure this was discussed before but the SEARCH feature is off. Anyway - does anybody know if you could fit a full-size spare in your 5th generation Max (2001 GLE in my case)?

Thanks!

sgrd0q-
I have a full-sized spare in my trunk. Only issue is it doesnt completely fit in the wheel well and sticks up into the trunk space. So there's a bit of a bulge...

I was wondering the same since I would much prefer to have a full spare in my car but a 17 inch is not going to fit right in the hole.

Same here, mounted on a 15" steel wheel. The fiber board floor panel does stick up, but less than an inch. But since we travel in the car it is peace of mind having a spare I can drive on at highway speeds for as far as needed. The Canadian Max's come stock with full size spares and have a floor panel that is contoured to cover the spare and fit flat on the trunk floor around the spare. But at almost $80 for the panel, I can contend with the original sticking up a little!.
