Radio static when rear defroster on???

OK, so right before Thanksgiving I got all my windows tinted, 20% (no comments on how dark/illegal it is). Since then, some of my radio stations don't come in when I have the rear defroster on - they're just static.

I talked to the owner of the tint shop (a very good place, this is my 3rd vehicle going there), and he said it's a fairly normal thing. I think this is complete BS. I haven't had this problem on my Mustang in the 4 yrs I've owned it, and it's always been tinted. And I've never heard of this on anyone elses car...

WTF is it?

some tint actually has metal in it. If that tint does, it is very likely that the tint could be causing your problem. What kind of tint is it? Did you get the stang tinted at the same place?

I'm pretty sure it's non-metallic tint, but I'll hafta check the papers when I get home. However, wouldn't this only matter if it was a window-antenna only car? We've got the dual antennas, so...

And yes, I got the Stang tinted there too, no problems with its defroster...
