How do white-faced gauges reverse...
#7
It has a layer of non-translucent black material behind the guages with the numbers cut out. That way light only shines through the numbers making the rest of the guage face appear black. during the day it looks like the numbers are black on a white face, but really it's clear on white face and you're looking "into" the guages, so the numbers look black.

I see.
So if you have your lights on during the day would you be able to read the #s?

It's not so bad after you get used to it, it's a small price to pay for such cool gauges
