Specs on the Fastbrakes upgrade, good news for 16" owners
Ok here goes:
12.2" rotors, with directional vanes. in other words, they are slotted.
Wilwood Superlite Calipers with the Tan Wilwood pads.
Wilwood brakeline adaptors, in other words, your stock lines will fit.
Billet Aluminum mounting adaptor.
All mounting hardware.
WILL fit uner 16" 95-99 Maxima.
For 2000+, we think it should fit. For 3rd gens, should fit as well, cause from what I know the 3rd gen have the same brakes as the 4th gen.
Can we get varification that 5th gen have same brakes as 4th? What we need to know is if the calipers are the same... if so, then the kit should work.
Pictures coming soon. We will probably start taking names within the next few days.

On thing VERY important. The piston area is larger than stock, that means the brake peddle will travel a little deeper... takes getting used to but DOES NOT AFFECT PERFORMANCE in anyways.
If you get SS lines, should help...

Well I do know the 5th gen has bigger brakes than the 4th, but not sure how much. And of what. The rotor is for sure...

What's the actual word on whether these "WILL fit uner 16" 95-99 Maxima."? Several other posts say that's not the case.

And that they are working on a kit for the rear too.

Yeah, I talked to someone via email, and he told me that slotting was an extra $90, and cross drilling was an extra $175, on top of $449 for the kit.

I know of a vendor in New York that sells the rotors for pretty cheap. That's the unslotted directional vane lightweight rotors, and I have an extra set still in the box if anyone wants just the rotors.

You can't use the fastbrakes rotors with any caliper, the caliper has to have a 1.25" width or bigger. Otherwise it would take a lot of machine work to fit them on. You can however save some money by buying these rotors off me, and then just getting the necessary hats/bolts/caliper/lines from fastbrakes, probably saving a couple hundred $$$..

Coleman charges about $15 to cut slots in their rotors. I wouldn't drill them anyway, but slots are a good idea.
MY best guess is........

I'm so slow, but this fast brake thing is nothing more than just a rotor exchange? Thats it>? Whats the benetfit of it over any of the other x-drilled or slotted?

these rotors are lightweight in design to provide for quicker brake response and with the directional vanes any heat can easily be channelled away from the rotor and cold air can be brought in to keep the rotor from getting too hot.

benefit: more surface area = better braking

$849 is the whole kit..
