Actually it's not that bad to complete unplug, unsnap, and rewire the whole thing up. I did it when I removed my y-pipe because I didn't want to splice wires. It will take you 20 extra minutes max once you have the car up.

splicing those wires is quite hard , becouse they are stiff like guitar strings !!!!
learned that when i tried to splice mine.

you could get "butt connectors" and try to crimp them nice anf tight and finally use some electric tape around it.

but warning though - did mine that way and it only lasted 3 weeks , finally bought two new O2 sensors and got it fixed the rifgt way

jerry rig is ok for temporary fix , but do it right the first time

the rear o2 sensor wire goes through a rubber grummet in the floor and resurfaces under the driver seat, near the center console, and ends with a connecter, which facilitates the replacement.

From under the driver's seat. The carpet has a slice in it to allow to reach the connector. You'll have more room to work comfortably if you remove the drivers' seat: held by 4 bolts : one at each corner.

Jack up your car. Pull out the rubber grommet. Unclip the plastic holder and pull out harness. 4-5" latter there will be a plug. Unplug old and in with the new. Put it back and your done. This takes about 5 Minutes.

I tried soldering my wires one time but it didn't work because they're stainless steel wires, not copper.

I ended having to buy a new O2 sensor from the dealer.

That would be the one after the cat. There are three. You need the third.
