Does my battery positioned the right way. For soem reason it looks wierd to me.

 

You usually need to either get shorter J-hooks, or place some washers/nuts between the J-hook nuts and the crossbeam, otherwise, the battery isn't quite secure.

And yes, it is smaller, and yes, the angle looks right.
