Grille-Tech rust pics

Well, I'm not the first to have these rust...but it pi$$es me off.

What are the other options for 2K2 lower grilles? Pics? Links?

What you need to do, is when you buy the grille, spray it down with a can of 3m clear coating spray. That stuff will protect it from the elements.

I wish I would have done that 2 winters ago when I got it. It rusted, so last spring I cleaned it up, primed it with a rust preventing paint and then painted it silver, but no clear coat.....and it still rusted.

They just started to add the clearcoat on the new grilles because of this.

supposedly. I would stay away from grilletech in the future. JMS makes a lower valence grille too, but I don't like it b/c it's one piece...

I've checked the JMS ones. Not bad looking but a bit expensive.

The replacement ones I got from them seem to be holding up very well in the Florida sun.

Ummm, how bad would stainless steel look in there? that's just perforated metal, and you can get it in stainless I'm sure.
