Ceasar, with slicks and lighter wheels, you might be able to hit that 13 second mark!

Oh, there's no doubt he'd hit 13s. I'd say on slicks and a 1.8 60' like Neal gets and Ceasar's looking at an easy 13.8@97mph. Great driving, good track, and good conditions really reap the benefits if you can pull everything off on the same day.

i think there are faster maximas here, i just have more mods. dave b says he is jealous but as soon as that crew puts on the slicks or drag radials, i will be left behind.

what i found to be so amazing was that the 70 pound weight reduction made so much of a difference. my PB was 14.39 im much colder weather. my new pb was in 60 degrees.

another thing was that its great to give the maxima the props it deserves.

what i have found out so for about the 4th is that the car LOVES less weight, im sure as all cars do , and cold weather. its was only last year i was at 15.22 with a big list of mods !

Hahaha.....I can't wait for the tracks to open up around here. I'll be running with the addition of a Pathfinder throttle body and slicks this spring. Now that Neal is gone boost we don't have to worry about his time getting any faster. Who will be the first to catch him???? I don't think I will have enough to do it, even with the slicks and PF TB.

Caesar:

What were the weight reduction mods? Battery and....

I finally got the rest of my Stillen body kit on, now it's time to top it off with a CF hood In March when the track opens, I hope to have drag radials. I'm hoping for 14.2s.

WELL THEN... I have about 1000 things to say... First off, when watching these videos, all of the wheelspin you hear are my tires... they spin all the way through 2nd sometimes... Secondly, had a great time Ceasar, we will have to go again soon, perhaps for a Wednesday Test'N'Tune... since the next midnight madness and import showdown aren't until april... Here goes the comments:

Quote: Nice race. Looked like you had him for a little bit.
Ceasar launches like a mad man, know's his tires well... He pulls consistant 2.1 - 2.2 60's... I on the other hand don't, this is my first time at the track w/ these tires, they're 215 width Dayton Daytona's... Stickier, than my old cheapo 205 width crappy brand tires...

Quote: Dammit your car is fast. wtf?

Nice vids as always. You took him badly off the line. Is frostys still untuned?

Eric
Eric, I am still untuned... if I had the money I would tune my car, but for now it will have to stay untuned...

Quote: great race. Ceasar, why don't you get ol' frosty to come to the NICO meet. He came last time. You could have heated up a house with the heat from his motor after his eight hour drive to the meet.
God that was a LONG drive... Perhaps we might.. when is it?

Quote: Woooo Woooooooooooooooo

Factory Freeek!!!

Was that Kushla talking??
Yeah that was K talking... She recorded all the videos for us, and what a job she did!

Quote: you should drive frosty's car for him
My reaction times and 60's were not as good as ceasar's which is why he wrecks me off the line sometimes... There is one video I pulled a pretty good r/t and a 2.1 60' and beat him off the line though, think it was the 4th vid...

Quote: What the hell Frosty should own.
I didn't do too bad, I ran a 13.5 @ 107 or so on one of those runs... And ran a couple 13.4's later on at 108... Keep in mind my car is still untuned on street tires...

Quote: Nice video. Too bad I couldn't make it today.
There's always a next time man, we go quite often..

Quote: Nice although I think Frosty is better for some reason.

When was this?

I wish the track was opened.!~
Well thats because I'm 1/2 Polish!!!!!

Quote: I expected frosty to be faster than what he ran.
My car is really damn fast actually, it's VERY capable of 12's, all I need are slicks... 13.4 @ 108.70 isn't bad either...

Quote: What was that black car in the 2nd video?
It was a drag Trans Am, loud as hell w/ cams and WIDEEEEEEEE slicks...

Quote: heh, nice vids... i was laughing really hard when you took off on frosty (thought u were going to win)

I see the reason why though, frosty's 60ft is a 2.68 on that 13.4 run
My 60' was definately not 2.68 on that run... It was a .268 R/T, the 1/4 signs posted our R/T's up there while going down the track... the R/T timer was set to .000 being a perfect launch at the track as opposed to a .500...

Quote: Dang! with a 2.2 60' 12's shouldnt be a problem...that is sick, his trap speeds are crazy also.
12's will only be achievable with slicks for me... And 2.2 60's net me the 13.4's

Quote: Holy crap Ceasar!! One h3ll of a 1/4 mile time!!! U too frosty
Thanks man, nice car btw... I LOVE SE-L's!!! I wish they made 5th gen's in red, the AE's would have looked incredible in red...

Quote: I think frosty just has some severe traction issues. I bet his 60ft time suck @ss it looks like once he gets into 3rd it pulls like mad. He just need wider & sticker tires IMO.
My 60' times were mixed throughout the day... Depended on how much I spun first... It's kinda hard to launch my car and also with the new wider, stickier tires, it was a new learning experience for me, and yes, 3rd and 4th are usually when I run away from my competition... Sometimes my car will spin all of 2nd, sometimes it won't..

Quote: Don't you hate it when they put you up cars you have no chance against?
I like it actually... I try harder, which is why I got the 13.4 @ 108.70, my highest trap to date and matched my fastest 1/4 time to date.

Quote: I need RWD. Frosty's car is VERY fast indeed, Caesar's car as well. You have to give Frosty's car credit though, look at how much he had to come from behind on Ceasar and he still pulled a 13.7x @106+mph. All he needs is decent tires and to work on the launches. A 2.68 is weak, even for FWD
Thanks for the compliments. The lower 1/4 times and lower traps are due to hot lapping my car, which gets VERY hot after a run due to the highhhh temperatures a turbo w/ piping going under the hood will give you... and yes, all I need is slicks and more launch practice, and read a few replies up about the 2.68 60'

Quote: I think Cesar is just better at launching than Frosty..

thats just my opinion
He definately is, and I need to stop changing tire brands... I'm staying with this tire brand/size now... and practicing my technique.

Quote: Ceasar, with slicks and lighter wheels, you might be able to hit that 13 second mark!
He DEFINATELY will not be getting lighter wheels, since the ones he has on his car now are 11 lbs a piece... Slicks on the other hand would be nice!
