Is a 5-speed on available on an SE for 2000+ models and what size Cat would everybody recommend with noise in mind?

yes and 2 1/2 inches for normally aspirated 3 for supercharged.

sorry, i meant to ask if it was only availbe on a 5-speed. my father said i might not be able to get a GXE 5-speed and the local dealer only has auto GXE's

According to a trivia bit in Road and Track, only 3 percent of Maximas come with manual transmissions, so yes they are hard to find. They do come in every option level EXCEPT for GLEs. They are auto only.

I have a GXE 5speed..

it's hard to find... that's why I don't have the color that I want... I want the super black.. but settle for gold color instead
