Fianlly got my car back - V2.0

My car is now on v2.0 - After the wreck nearly 2 months ago and $5,000 in damage, I got her back the other day with 4 new rims.

We (maximase86, ebmorgan and I) then proceeded to put the new V2 Polished SC in to replace my V1 SC that had a faulty compressor. (it leaked air badly).

Also added JWT ECU and 300zx Injectors AND 2.87" Pulley - pulled 12 PSI on the freeway yesterday - Dyno results to follow soon.

Still need to install 3" Exhaust (It's wet here in Seattle right now and I'm not keen on doing exhaust work in the rain)

So here are some pics for people to enjoy.

Oh yeah - and that SC Filter is completely temporary - just haven't had a chance to put the CAI back in.

Man that was fun getting the car back to boost. This weekend we'll be working on the MEVI and CAI for the S/C. I'll tell you, it's a lot of hard work, but it's really paying off so far. The car is faster than snot with the MEVI not working!

Yeah - just need some smaller ID hose - no big deal - then that'll be back to normal.

The CAI I'm considering waiting on for a week or two because I may be relocating my MAF over there.

Good idea, forgot that you were planning on that. Did you ever get the MAF that we think is broken tested? I wonder if it still works....even with what ever is rattling in there....

The piping isn't polished - it's treaded with heat-resistant coating (keeps engine bay heat out of the piping) called Chromex.
http://www.performancecoatings.com/

The trade for the V1 was $950 with the polishing - $850 without.

Thanks for the compliments guys - the engine bay needs a little bit of re-wiring/cleaning - but I think it's turning out well. Will probably get the manifold and valve cover polished at some point.

Not sure what "Stillen Polish" means...

The Blower was polished by Vortech before being assembled and sent to me. They sell them like that.

I didn't deal with Stillen whatsoever. The guys at Vortech were very on the ball and got the blower to me 4 days ahead of when I expected it.

It's the springs. He's got all his stereo and tools in the back of the car, so it squats towards the rear. He used to be lower with sprint springs, but had a nasty tendency to eat half-shafts with the S/C.

Yep - B&G Springs can't take much weight before they drop in the rear.

When my trunk is empty it looks normal, but with my stereo back there it sags pretty bad.

Probably going to get some H&R's in the future.

Not to mention on Sprints my car ate axles like they were an Oreo at Fat Camp.

The Chromexed piping isn't for looks - we had that conversation over IM already - it keeps heat from the engine bay out of the piping.

As for the S/C - well, that was just so inexpensive it made sense to do it.

4 in as many months.

As soon as I switched to B&G's, it went away.

That's why no matter how much people tell me it wasn't the fault of the Sprints, I'm sure it was.

Especially after Marti at Raxles sent me a powerpoint presentation of my disassembled bad axles showing me as much.

that is crazy. I've had sprints on my car for about 9 months. I had to replace both of my axles back in August when my syncros for 3rd gear went out but they had about ~135k miles on them. Hopefully these ones I got from raxles won't go anytimes soon.
