There was talk of group deal on y-pipes with CM and that seems to be at a standstill. So i said hey, let's get one going for sure and with a BETTER price. I contacted Warpspeed and got some good deals on SS y-pipes for 3rd and 4th gen maximas. Here is the email. They also will give a deal on their cats to anyone who gets a y-pipe. I will also post this in the group deal forum. Contact me or warpspeed with any question. Lets do this!!!!!!

Steven:

We always look forward to give Stillen and Cattman a little friendly competition. To make it a little easier for you to reach a larger quantity we would include our VG and VE stainless pipes as well for your potential group buy.

Terms of potential group buy:

If there is 5-9 prepaid buyers we would give $50 off our posted VQ-SS price of $355 price or $50 off our posted VE-SS or VG-SS price of $350, 10 or more and we would give $60.00 off our posted VQ-SS price of $355 price and we would give $60.00 off our posted VE-SS or VG-SS price of $350.00.

This offer only applies to our stainless steel Y pipes but we would give an additional $15.00 off our catalytic converters if any are bought with a Y pipe in this potential group buy.

This means everyone would have to pre-pay to get the group buy at which ever level it ends up. I believe we have at least 5 VQ-SS, 2 or 3 VE-SS and 2 or 3 VG-SS in stock as of today so it is not like we have to get paid before we produce the pipes. When the top level is reached after at least 5 or 10 have paid we would begin to ship pipes.

We would of course as always take personal checks and money orders or credit cards through Paypal.

Shipping:

We would be willing to ship any pipe for $10.00 in the continental 48 states (more to Canada), catalytic converters would ship for $7.50.

regards,

You might want to break it down for everyone.
Like 4th gen = ???
3rd gen = ???
etc.

I know what engine my car has, but I'm not sure what the other two are.

It says in the original letter that this deal only applies to their Stainless steel version, so I guess the aluminum pipe would be regular price.

Hey I'm in, but I'd like to see us get the 10 peep price bc it seems like there are lots of us in the market right now.

I think I'll start lubricating my nuts tomorrow in anticipation of this Y for $ 305 delivered!

Sweetsound get the SS, then you can wrap it to insulate it.

HELP US

Right now we have 8 maybe 9 people in on this deal. One person is a little shaky. I have to e-mail warpspeed with everyone's info tomorrow night. If we can get to the 10 person platuea we will get the 305 shipped price. All you people that were talking about the aluminum pipe, this is almost the same price, why not get a SS one and have piece of mind. Anyone who is in I already e-mailed u but as a reminder i need you info tonight or tomorrow morn!!

If you are interested in the Warpspeed Y-pipe group deal, email - skusek_pps@yahoo.com

Include:
1. Name
2. Address
3. Which Pipe (VQ,VE, or VG)
4. Do you also want a cat?
5. How you intend on paying

Don't miss out on this deal, and don't ask him to email you...he's doing you a favor not the other way around.

Sweetsound don't wait too long on the aluminum deal to happen. The margin's probably not there when they sell it at $ 255 or so.

anyways you should consider the SS even though you live in Cali; I live in FLA and for the difference in the cost now, $ 50 bux, it's not a difficult decision to go with SS. And not just any SS but 409 which will last even longer than the 304 and is a harder material than aluminized steel is. That is important and not too many people are discussing this. Protection against corrosion is only one of the benefits of SS, not the only one.

Do all these ypipes sound the same? Has anyone confirmed that these warpspeed pipes don't make the same buzzing noise that the first generation stillen pipes make? Just curious.

Aluminum is lighter but the pipe is not made of aluminum per se, it is aluminized steel. There shouldn't be a significant difference in weight between that and SS; either way both pipes are lighter than the stock pipe.
