Hyper Grounding = more horsepower?
Tell you what, why don't you give me some tips on grounding my car and I will give you some tips on the English language and I'll also throw in some writing skills. I hate these people who can't f'in write proper English.
You seem to be a smart @ss, im sure you can properly figure it out yourself. You think I (or any1 for that matter) really gives a rats @ss about how they spell, or the use of correct punctuation on a forum? Its maxima.org, not english class so **** off.
If you want tips on how you should do certain things on your ride, then ASK! Dont sit there and try to insult people.

Do you really expect me to sit there and hand you my work, only for you to insult me in return?
This isn't preschool. You will not be handed answers to your questions like you were when you were four years old. Some people on these forums don't have a problem with that, but I do. We had to go through the labor of researching the electrical system and forming a design that works--now you are sitting here asking for me to hand you those answers? Why don't you call up Intel and ask them to hand you the architecture of their latest microprocessor? Oh, that's different?! Maybe in scale, but not in principle.
How's that for proper grammar and punctuation, Mr. Lee?
Next time you try to insult me, please find something worthwhile and well-founded. I may not use proper English on this forum or in everyday conversation, but how many people that use online forums do? This is a public forum and you choose to be here. If you have a problem with it, then it's your problem--not mine. Why don't you go take your offer for English help to the streets of inner-city New York where kids aren't getting a proper education.
I'll keep my grounding tips and Electrical Engineering degree to myself, thank you.
Have a nice day!
Yeah, it annoys me sometimes that people don't use all that great of English, but does it matter? No. I can still understand what they're saying VERY easily. The point still gets across. And it's not like it was THAT bad, now was it?
Geez...

Maybe I should have placed the message that I was referring to in the reply. It was not directed towards you Matt. In fact, I have no problem with your writing skills. The person that I was referring to was Hitman. As far as not giving me the grounding points, no biggie! I will figure it out for myself, no electrical degree needed here.
Just to let you folks know, my first reply to this post did not insult anyone. I was only asking for some tips. When members didn't want to give them up, but were only willing to give me a hard time, well, I just retaliated. I mean no harm and I just shot back with the only ammo that I had at the time. Besides, I thought that this forum was here so we could exchange information, not sell it. There is a classified section.
A PERSONAL MESSAGE TO HITMAN. If you were to look at this post you would see that I did ask for some information in a prior reply and only got back a smart *** answer from Matt, who should be in the classifieds and a poorly written reply from you who offered no help. Sorry about that Matt, but you know, you really should be in the classifieds if you want to conduct business.
I mean no harm to anyone and would like to send out an apology to everyone that I may have offended.

about it were not going to get anywere. If you think his reply was a smart reply so to speak, it really wasnt. Every1 does it differently, you can run wires all over the place in any given direction you want & it will work just as long as the ends are connected.
No it doesnt take an engineer to make this work, its just grounds. You just need some common sense & start playing with the wire. When I said I run the wires in a way where they are hidden, basically its more time consuming. You have to run the wires from akward angles and though dumb places to make them look like they are not there.
On example ill give is the Positive, instead of "upgrading" I just added to it. I added a 4awg wire running from the alternator to the battery (positive) Basically all you could see is the last 4-5" of the wire, but overall is close to 6ft long. You can run the wires next to, or thourgh most but as I mentioned, use common sense. Especially the positive, try to avoid sharp corners, and heat sources. Zip ties will also aid in this project, but Im picky, Ill use black ties and after I connect them, ill slice the end off and roll the tie over so you it looks like it belongs, rather then some hack job.
As for the ground, just make sure you have good contact on them. The negative that comes off the battery, looks like its grouned to the chassis, well for a start remove that & sand down the contact, its covered in paint and that does exactly help.
Just for a basic upgrade, ill give you a few examples.
Battery Positive - Alternator
Battery Negative - Chassis
Engine Block - Chassis
Usually refered to as the "magic 3" it just decreases resistance. Anything after this point is overkill but grounds are grounds, more the better. It just gets messy with all the wires after a certain point. When to stop is your call.
Cool, it looks as if I am going to get what I came after. The info is greatly appreciated and I will post results as soon as the project is finished.
I have a small whine in my stereo when my air cond is running. It's not very noticable, however, I hope that this grounding project will work to help remedy the small problem. I am currnetly running a NAK CD700 in the dash which goes into a Audio Control Epicenter, then into an Audio Control EQS equalizer, an Audio Control 6XS crossover and then into a Macintosh 6 channel amp for the mids and highs, and an Precision Power PC1800 for the sub. The Speakers are all top shelf ADS. Getting rid of the whine would be the icing on my cake.
THANK YOU TO ALL

the headlight wires arn't good enough? for the 99% of the people out there who don't use fancy bulbs i'm sure the headlight harness wires are just fine.
so many people talk about these. i swear its all snake oil.
this is my opinion, OBVIOUSLY!.
but hey if it helps you go for it.
