car got broken into

I was at my friends house watching the Super Bowl and I left before the game ended around 10:00. I had my car parked about 2min away from his house and notice that my passenger window was smashed. Nothing was stolen since I still have the stock Bose. I guess they assumed I had something since its blk on blk and tinted max or they might have been the same people who stole my firends system in his probe which was parked out front of my house next to my car. After smashing the window and seeing the crappy Bose they went down the street and broke into another car which had a system, the guy came out and caught them and they ran off. He said he got a good look of them, 2 young kids, one brown hair and the other is a short pudgy russian kid which I think I know. The guy went with my friends to go look for them and they supposedly found them, but didnt do anything, not really sure what happend. I just got in my car and drove around where they said they saw them with a bat but I didnt find them Im so ****ed, I dont have any extra money to fix this...im a poor highschool student. Anyone got any idea how much the window is going to cost me? I think im going to have to get the entire inner door panel, it was scraped from the glass. Here are some pics...

same happened to me a few months back, only it was the drivers rear small window. I ran out within 10 seconds but they already took off since the alarm (stock back then) scared them off.

you could swing by a junk yard and maybe get the window for cheap. when i got my max it had a small crack in the front windshield and i went up to a junk yard in ny and got a new one install for 120 total. its not cheap but its do able.

Yea, NE Philly is getting really bad. That stuff on the window is tint. I think I might know the kid who did it. Hes about 15, and I used to talk to him before. I have an idea of where he lives but I can probably find out. I have no clue who the other kid can be. I heard the kid stole a system off one of my friend's friend and caught him but I dont know any details yet. If I found out it was him, hes done.

I looked through the Haynes manual again and found how to replace it, missed it the first time looking through it since its only 5 steps. Looks really easy, hope it doesnt rain again tomarrow.

i know exactly how you feel, i had the same BS happen to me:

http://forums.maxima.org/showthread.php?t=265046

all they took is the face to my radio, but messed up my dash and rear seat.

my insurance fixed the window for free but the rest had a 500 deductible.

Good luck getting it fixed and finding those punks.
