I had the Courtesy B-Pipe and RT Cat installed today. I am very impressed with the quality of the Courtesy pipe and the ease with which it installed. I need to drive the car around more but so far it feels better down low. The noise level did not increase as I had feared - just changed a bit. It is a nice deep throaty growl on acceleration but does not drone like a Stillen muffler or Greddy. At cruise the car is quiet but I still have the stock muffler.

Anyone interested in detailed install pics and analysis can go to my site.

My next step is to eliminate the stupid extension piece as some here have done. I am going to have the piece cloned in stainless steel by a header shop. All that is needed is a straight piece.

Great pictures....

...What year is your car? Mine is a 96 and I still have my stock B pipe, cat and muffler. I've noticed that the air flow coming from my exhaust is very "weak", but I don't want to get louder. Also I heard that the performance cat creates problems to your car, I don't know what kind of problems? Am I going to need that extension too?
I already dynoed 186.8 Hp and 207 lbs. of torque, is it really worthed the expense of the "B" and cat?
Thanks for your input.

Andres,

My car is a 99. I haven't heard of any confirmed problems with the RT cat - you would have to get others to comment on that.

You will only need the extension piece if your car doesn't already have it.

Hi Brett,

Yeah, I had to take a picture of the car on the Unorthodox lift. As usual, Joe did the intall and he did a great job. The damn exhaust hanger was bent during shipping (Courtesy's fault for the way they packaged it) but Joe straightened it out, strengthened it and re-chased the threads so it works as good as new.

B-Pipe

Does Courtesy make a B-Pipe for the 2K yet? Last time I called they had one in the works but it was going to be a while. Stillen also has one in the works without the resonator.

As far as I know Courtesy does not make a B-Pipe for the 2K Max.
