Brake Rotors

I`m looking for new rotors for my 99 SE, are the slotted or drilled rotors worth the money? Do they wear the pads out faster than a normal rotor? What is a good quality name rotor (solid or slotted) that I can put on the car without having to turn them to make them true?

Slotted and drilled are a waste of money they pretty much just look cool. An argument for slotted can be made that they clean the pad surface and help stopping power, but that is only an issue under the braking of race conditions, and it causes increased pad wear.

I would go to autozone or some local place and pick up a set of rotors for like $22 each. That's where I get my rotors nowadays.

Slotted rotors are Ok if you do alot of hard stopping, like in a race setting. DO NOT buy cross drilled rotors. They are crap. For daily driving, just get regular stock rotors. Or get Matt Blehm's big brake kit. I just got it, and I LOVE IT!
