i think 15400 is a fair price... i have a 99 se-l and i still owe 17 something... (off the showroom floor with 3 miles...)

the difference between a 99 and a 00...hmmm, well
first off:
body design
engine design
horsepower
etc....and many more...

just look at some pics and you will see the difference.

talk to some peoples who have driven both years and they should have the best advice for you...

If I go for 99 SE, is that necessary to find a nissan dealer or pepboy store to check the car before buying? a friend tole me it is not necessary, because it is still under factory war. is that right?

are you buying this from a dealership or a everyday joe?

eith way it should have the 3 year/36000 mile warranty.

you can call your local nissan dealership anyway just in case.

I will go to see the 99 SE tomorrow. It is private sold car. Though the car under factory warranty, I am still a little worried, thinking the car maybe involved in some accident or something like that which are not covered by warranty. Feel the deal maybe too good to be ture. Any suggestion for what I should pay attention to?

Thx!

Well, i did have a fender bender and i went to the dealership to get it fixed... look inside the wheel wells.. do you see any overspray? that would indicate body work of some kind.... just look it over real well.. test drive it.. look under the hood... look under the car and see if you see a lot of scraps.. look at tires... just all the basics..

hope this deals is true...

If you are not sure what to look for, spend the extra money to have it professionally inspected. $75 is worth discovering a hidden frame damage. One cheap (free)method to check for paintwork/body damage is to take it to the local Carmax (if you have one) and ask them to appraise the car for you. Personally, I would consider the 00 model, it will give you a more updated design with better ergonomics, room, structure rigidity, and 32 more horsepower.

It all depends on how much he has to spend though. Good luck on the purchase.

Thanks all

Thanks all for the advise. I decide to go with 99 first. Because $2000 difference is big money for me. The owner was busy yesterday. So I have to wait till tomorrow to see the car. And I just know someone had seen the car last wk, but for some reason I do not know he did not take it even such a great deal. So I am really worry about the car's condition. I decide to find someone to check it before I make the decision. any suggestion ? Pepboy, Carmax or nissan dealer? which one is better? Thanks!
