License Plate pics

Why do people fuzz out their license plates in posted pictures?

i wonder about that myself...either people got records or maybe they're in witness protection, or they just don't wanna be found; but unless somebody's got access to DMV, what could be done with a license plate number?

So that people can't use the internet to find out what you have when they go 5 finger shopping. They see your car here, read about all the goodies, then go shopping for your stuff.

Kind of like, you don't come bassing into the parking lot of the movies and then get out and go see a flick.
You just said that I have a loud sterio and I am going to be inside watching some movise for the next 2-3 hours....so take your time stealing my $hit.

I always show my plates, i paid $50 for my plates to be seen. (although its been foolish with the police many times)

I post mine because I dont keep the car where the plates are registered so its no big deal.
