Does bigger master cylinder equal to more line pressure? Or does it just increase the fluid capacity? Or is it the brake booster that increase the line pressure? I replaced master cylinder on a Honda Prelude before and it's pretty striaght forward. Since I have the stillen big brake, it's not on the car yet. I know big brake kit makes the pedal more mushy and SS lines does help alittle. Will a bigger master cylinder firm up the pedal back to normal?

you that Jeff92se has thought about this as well, and thinks the 300Z master cylinder will fit fairly easily in a 3rd gen. I would assume the same for a 4th gen.

He has stated whenever he gets a 300Z brake upgrade (or a Wilwood kit) that he would probably get a bigger master cylinder for a Z. This would eliminate the extra pedal travel associated with 'big' brakes on the same master cylinder. He may be able to add some actual tech info whenever he arises on the left coast....

Re: I can tell

I might just buy one from AutoZone and see if it will fit.

Well whenever people upgrade to larger brakes(ie.. larger diameter pistons or more pistons) it always results in more pedal travel in order to get the brakes to operate. It's becuase you are now using a master cylinder that has a bore that's too small. If a factory oem one is available and is bolt up(ie.. 300z, Q45 etc..) It would sure help things.
