Well that's not too bad. It cost me to fill up my gas thank about $40. That's $2.59/ gallon of Chevron 91 0ctane premium gas.

It cost me in CT also almost 38 bucks to fill up, and since I put a lot of miles everyday, I gotta fill up about every 4th or 5th day, so that IS heavy on my student pocket.

Seriously, I was considering a month ago trading my Max for a diesel Jetta, but decided not to due to financial reasons (extra money I'd have to pay for Jetta would not justify the money I save on gas even in 6 years)

WOW. In Tx, it cost me about 23.00 to fill a full tank. The most that i have seen it was today at about $1.76 for premium at chevron. The gas prices are going up again. If premium was more than $2, i'd say fu<k it go regular.

It's not so bad, I just filled my car tonight. It's $1.71 for 91 octane preminum. You have to realized that we get cheap gas, not compare to countries in europe that pays nearly five bucks a gallon. You look at different aspect. We live in a free world country and spoiled one. Think about what we consume everyday in life, for instance, bottle water. How much would it cost you buy Danasi water to make a gallon. Probably about five dollars. So it's not a dead end for all of us. I know those make a good point trying to get decent gas mileage so there isn't something to bicker about.

Same here! $1.75 or so for premium chevron, and I thought I was gettin err...u know.

Blame it on the arab mafia (OPEC), and lazy americans for not building more refineries. (eh hem, I'm an american too).

Paid $1.87@ BP Premium yesterday. Though is not as bad as most of you in CA its not so good for me. I use to pay $1.60 for premium fuel.

I don't have a 4 Banger car that saves gas at home, so I guess I'm going to start shifting at 2000RPM everytime. I don't care if a school bus passes me and flash the 4 way light when he gets in front of me.

That will cause you to do more stopping and starting. Not going to help your fuel economy either.

Might as well get one now. When the demand for those cars goes up, so will the prices.

I hope US is not going to turn into Europe where paying $3 or more for a gallon of gasoline is NORMAL. Probably a good time to look into Honda Insight or Toyota Prius.

keep in mind that even if it goes to $3/gallon... it's still cheaper than the rest of the world... and if you compare our earnings & their earnings..we are getting really cheap gas... where i grew up it's about $4/gallon right now but you only make about $400 a MONTH....

So stop complaining you biaches!!!

At least we now have good excuses to get kool looking bikes like the yamaha r6, the suzuki gsx, honda cbr, or the Neng Hao 1208MK or 1202.

All I need is my license and $9000.

The gas at Chevron went up 12 cents a gallon since last Sunday. I paid $1.77 on Sunday and $1.89 today for 93 octane.

I'm planning a trip to Chicago in July. I'll be driving my truck though. It uses 87 octane.

Here in South Florida we dont have that problem. The pump doesn't even operate until you pay. You'd think it would be like that everywhere

It's like that in most places unless you are using a gas/debit/credit card. The last time I visited Chicago, they had signs at the pump that read "Credit cards must be approved in advance." I never complied with that though. I just put my card in the slot and pumped my gas. Some stations require prepay after dark. As gas thefts increase, I'm sure that more stations will require prepaying.

In the city, I have to prepay to fillup. Now I got a CC under my mom's name so I get 5% back on any gas (plus 5% at grocery stores and drugstores) and I don't have to go inside anymore

In the suburbs, you don't have to prepay. Some places say you have to prepay when it's dark, but the Shell station I went to never made me do that
