Harrison R&D OBD-2 Scanner

Recently picked up a Harrison R&D OBD-2 scanner. I posted a few pics below for you folks to look at. The module and software is great for tuning and/or just pulling codes. Of if you're an electronics nut like me, to find out what all your different sensors are reporting etc.

I put up two airflow charts below just to show the plotting/graphing capabilities of the software. You can zoom in/scale points as well. All the reporting areas you see on the main screen can be plotted/graphed in realtime: Calculate Load, Coolant Temp, Manifold Absolute Pressure, Engine RPM, Speed, Ignitiion Advance, Intake Air Temp, Air Flow, Gas Mileage, Throttle Position, All three Oxygen sensor values.

I was in touch with Dan Harrison (the developer), all last weekend working out some issues with the USB controller (my computer issue - not related to his product) and he was very customer friendly.

This is definitely a big

There are several of us here who've been using this setup for quite sometime. Overall it's worth the investment but it still needs improvement.

What is the cost of this? Do they make any scanners that don't need a lap top. If not, can you store the data and then display it latter on a computer inside your home???

You can get the same scanner with the Palm software which is what I have. When you get this option you have PC and Palm capability.

I need my laptop for the wideband, can't see having 2 laptops going at once, although my wideband will log internally (32k) so could just download it later.

Definitely. Make sure you email the developer with your comments. He's always looking for customer feedback.

$160 for the Universal scanner which can interface with the majority of vehicles out there.
