Fitting a Zeroshift into a Max?

Pretty cool, new technology. We need someone to try this on a Max.

How can it be “Zero”? Don’t you mean nanoseconds?

It’s Zero because the next gear overdrives the current gear. The shift is absolutely instant and cannot be any other way – any time would mean driving two gears at once. There is already a precedent for zeroshifting: the Lenco drag racing gearbox. A Lenco selects 2nd while 1st is engaged. 2nd overdrives 1st and releases it. A Lenco can handle thousands of horsepower but can only upshift. ZeroShift is able to do what a Lenco does but for upshifts and downshifts. Plus, we make the shift smooth and have no backlash in the transmission.

Seems intresting . . . but also very expensive. . . I doubt they would make one for the Maxima due to the fact that not many people would buy one if they are costly.

I believe you can get that (DSG gearbox) on the new Audi TT.
