A few questions:

How much do the Racing Hart C5 rims cost? 17 or 18 inch.
I was thinking about getting a set of Konig Monsoons, but alot of people have them, so how about the Fittipaldi 500SS?
Does anyone have problems with 18" rims on the Maxima.

Yes,

I have a problem with the high cost of the rims and tires and extra weight with little or no extra tire width over 17" and a harsher ride plus fewer choices

Other than that you should have no probs

IMO get 17" and use the extra money to get a digital camera to take instant pics for us

Well I'm not totally awake yet. and I'm sore from my first night of USVBA practice.

Unless your a show car I don't think anything over 17" is the right decision. ITs all about balancing things for the better and 18" are just not balanced IMO for the reasons stated in the last post.

This is what made up my mind when deciding 17" over 18"

Do I really wanna pay almost twice as much for 10mm more tire width, harsher ride, and a better chance of hitting a curb or pot hole and ruining something that expensive?

If I drew a bell curve of rims size and benefits 17" would be right at the top of the curve!
Have a gr8 day! I'm never in a bad mood. Life is gr8!

It's definitely the best volleyball I've ever played in my life! YMCA, college, and high school don't compare!

17 vs 18

I would agree with gr8bone. 18's look nice but are more expensive and give you a harsher ride.
If you're concerned about the ride, then try riding in someone's car who has 18's. I have 18's (Katana Concept 5's- knock off of C5's) which i got a really good deal on at Washington Tire (check out their website). The ride is a little harsher than i would like it. so if i decide to change wheels any time soon, i probably would switch to the 17's or maybe even the 300zx wheels.

The other probs with big wheels

Is that depending on the roads you drive on, you can bend the rim. On Car and Driver's long-term BMW M3, they had to get 3 rims replaced, and those were OEM 17s! Depending on
the manufacturer, 18s will be even more likely to get bent or even crack.

I have 18"C5 in white I think this is the best time to buy them->

they are going to be discontinued so prices are dropping. I've seen them as low as $1,700 on a group buy thats with tires included. And honestly the ride between 17 and 18 is almost the same. I was also skeptical about the ride because I live in NYC but if I was to do it again I am buying 19". I think 17" and 18" still look to small on the maxima.

there are two kinds. 1pc and 3pc. 1pc is called C5 evolution, which is a LOT cheaper than the 3pc. I looked at the 3pc in 19", $800+ per wheel.

i got 18's and i agree they still look to small. I dont have ANY problem with the ride quality, and im using h&r springs. Im actually just in the process of getting my 2k1 and selling my 18s to a buddy so i can order my 19's. My opinion is go as big as you can afford. If you cant afford it, finance it. hehe

they do bend easily though once it gets big.
friend had 19" 3pc C5 on his GS400, it was bent within weeks!! granted the roads here in NY are pos, but the deep dish with lip on such a big size is the weakest part of the wheel.

Yep you are right the 3 piece cost more->

but to me they don't look better. But hey if you like it go for it. To some people $800 a piece sounds like alot but its not. I am use to paying more than $2,000 for rims so buying c5 was like a bargain.

actually they don't look better on Maxima, the deep dish lip look good only on RWD cars when you go wider at the rear than the front.

Are Looking for C5 for the GS4 or the Z3?

You know me I like flashiness I would look into BBS rims if I was you. I think most people buy racinghart because of the name and there reputation that they cost alot. But to me their styling sucks except for the C2.
Lets not even talk about there light weight none existing to me. My C5 are heavy as $hit!!! I get all sorts of nuckleheads asking me questions about them. Pure Hype I probably will get rid of them next year and get something else.

i am looking for wheels for GS4.
I don't like BBS cuz it's too busy looking. I was narrowing it down to either Volk Racing AV3 or Blitz technospeed, but now I might have to go with the strongest wheels instead since I heard big wheels with lip bends easily.
