All wiring for the projector lights are preassembled for essentially plug and play application. All head lights comes with bulbs.

For these lights, when the term "projectors" is used, does it mean HID are used for the main driving light? If not, what kind of bulbs are used for driving lights and high beam lights?

Wow, they do look really nice. I'll wait when you get them in and see how they look and work out for you. Then I'll consider getting myself one.

im surpised no one said anything yet. they are NOT projectors. they are regular halogen lamps (H4). if they were projectors, they would be way over $300 for a set!

They are projectors. Just look at them. It has a projector lens. Just because it uses projectors doesn't mean you can't use halogen bulbs in it. Many cars come equipped with halogen projectors.

people have already ordered them and they said they use a halogen setup and have a halogen light output. you have to modify them to accept TRUE HIDS or Projectors.

Man WTF are you smokin?? Just because they don't come with HID's doesn't mean they're not projectors. THOSE ARE PROJECTOR LENSES. Hell, you could retrofit a focking candle in there and they would still be projectors. Do you even know what a projector lens is??

yes i know what projector lenses are. you are correct, they are projector lenses. give yourself a pat on the back. they are not projector lights nor will they put out anymore light than halogen lights with regular lenses. i never said they were not projector lenses. i said they are not projector lights (true projector lights). they will not put out the light that normal projector lights will. do you get my point now.

Your point is that you've arbitrarily made up your own definition of "projector lights." That is fine but the rest of the world uses "projector" to describe the lenses. The light output is determined by the light source, be they halogen or HID. As was mentioned, projector headlamps made their debut well before the advent of HID. Just like reflector housings, projector headlamps should be designed for use with a target light source in mind. HID headlamps (reflector, projector) all have relatively horizontal cutoffs to minimize glare. I don't think that is the case with these, if that is what you are trying to say.

Are these plug & play for the HID bulbs? I know it has been mentioned that the light pattern may be kinda scewed due to the projector type, but for the money its worth the risk to see how it looks. Can the angel eyes be operated with only the parking lights on? Someone needs to post some nighttime pics.

last heard H3 bulbs are used for both high and low beam. So if you want HID, then you have to get H3 HID kit. Whether how plug and play they are, there will be some wiring modifications... especially for the 00-01. Because if these lights are plug and play for the 02-03, then it'll have harness connectors for the 02-03. And if you install these on the 00-01 then it'll be like you retrofitting your 00-01 to use the 02-03 HID headlights. And why would the "Projector Beam patter" be screwy? Haven't you ever seem h3 projector fog or driving lights? The beam pattern will depend on the cut off plate inside the projector housing. The main question is how well is the projector lens made...
