How did you get the speakers in the kick plates? Does someone sell it or is it custom?

liqidvenom....i stripped the whole thing so there is no visible tape lines. Door hanldes, side mirrors, shooters and wing being painted seperately. I would have pulled the motor out but i didn't have any space left in the garage to store it in. So after i get my car back, my friend will shoot around the engine compartment by section.

MAXSE03...i did race my friend's 350z , his is 6 speed and most of the time my front bumper is right behind his back bumper at around 80+ mph. I did at one time pass him when he miss shifted to third. After i get the MEVI installed this might change...hehe...and hopefully that new VQ-pro from Stillen works too.

JeEVE....the kick panel speaker pod is custom made. I made it using my stock panel, wood and fiberglass. It now holds a 6 3/4" Planet Audio Coaxial speaker.

Why does everyone always go with blue as the repaint color? The only people I've seen here with originality for paint scheme have been teddibear and the guy with the orange '98.

Sorry to hear that blue is not an originality color for you but after my car gets repainted, it will be the only Maxima with this shade of blue in the whole island of Maui. And that it includes all the different gens. And it just happens to be one of my favorite color..

I agree with you on this one...but it feels like the whole cars is falling apart because of all the noise. I also plan on adding sound deadening material ( i might even go with rhino lining) to the floor and trunk before putting everything back.

Yeah im painting my car right now with some ummm. 00 svt blue pearlcoat. Its a rich blue and looks darkk at night, or im trying to fade the last to coats of cc to a 10% black to make in flash dark at night. well see how this goes.
Door jams and hood, trunk areas are done on mine, I just masked off lots & lots.
How long did it take you to strip that car?
Do you plan on putting much back in?
Daily Driver still? lol...

Looks like its coming along man. good luck and be safe.

Man i woulndt bother adding all that add densing material, its just getting to you now.
Ive striped a car a drove it daliy (civic) and it was SO LOUD. everything-bump i know. My max is vitually silent as compared to even a 99 civic / camry.... ... itll be fine if ya plan on putting all ur insides back in..im betting.

Bobjohnson... yes everything is going back in the car. I'm going to add the sound deadening material to get the car more quiet and help reduce the droning sound of the exhaust into the cabin and i'm redoing my stereo setup. I don't plan on stripping te car again after this. It took me awhil to strip the car down. I had to do it in between sleep and working a full time and parttime job. But i think i could have done it in two 8 hours straight . When i do get the car back, everything will go back in slowly as i'll be redoing the stereo and doing a little modding of the interior and the trunk.

Are you talking about the trimming around the window that is black with chrome center? I have a Nissan Maxima factory manual and i just followed the instruction to remove them. There are few screws hidden behind the rubber insulations and some are covered by a small round stickers. A little prying is needed to remove the ones on the rear window, the part that curves around because of the clips thats partly holding it in place.

I'm planning on reusing them all.

it's going to change a little when i get my car back from the shop. I'm adding a few components and processors. I'll redo my cardomain site then. That will be about in a couple of months from now.

When it gets back from the paint booth would be a good time to install sound deadner on the floor since the interior is already out. That is only if that would interest you.
