Woo Hoo Just shipped ECU
To G-Force Can't wait to get it back and feel the power.
MAN that ECU is hard to get out. Those bloody crews and literally mean bloody. Man I cut my hand all up trying get those little screws out. I swear Nissan give you like 1/2 an inch to get the screw out, what about the tool space. Nissan has elfs putting these cars together. Anywho cant Wait. Oh I used Phillips Screw bit and some freak'n plyers cuz nothing I had would fit in the space.

Yeah! I'm shipping mine today (after the poweroutage), can't wait. I was cursing up a storm trying to get that **** out. I used this flat racheted screwdriver, and it was still hard to get out (especially the screw on the front passenger side - PITA).
Well
The ECU only has 4 screws but its hard as hell to get them out. I don't think any instructions would've made it easier to take the screws out. The space is so tight it hard to get any tools in the space. Unless someone has instructions on what type of tools would work good in that space. I got it out but it really sucked.
Oh well Laterz

I gotta call Robert to make sure he got it.
Ooooh can't wait and thanks for all the hard work dude to get us this deal.
I took mine out yesterday PM
and I have a bloody knuckle too. But here's what I did:
Here's what I used on the two screws in the middle: 10mm socket, 1/4" swivel adapter, 3" drive extension, 6" drive extension, 1/4" drive ratchet in that order. Once I broke the initial torque and it started coming off easy, I took off the ratchet and manipulated the extensions by hand. Once the screws were unscrewed I used a magnetic tool holder piece to get the screws out of the area.
Once they're off and you remove the wiring harness screw, I cut the zip ties off very carefully with an electrical cutter, the popped out the other harder line attaching to the ecu on the driver's side. There was not enough space there to do it properly with the help of needle nose pliers so I bent the bracket just a little. Then you have to push the wiring harnesses out of the way over the brackets while you move the ecu front and back and pull towards the passenger side. This would be much easier with an assitant to do move the wiring harnesses out of the way while you pull from the driver's side. Then there's one more wiring harness attached to the back of it (the part that faces the firewall) which I again cut the zip tie off of after the ecu was out of it's position.
Then I made notes of the exact P/N's on the labels, wrapped it with foam and bubble wrap and called UPS at 5 minutes to 7pm last night. They came by before 8 pm and they're shooting to get it out to me today. What service! I hope it's worth it.

I hope it worth the work too.
Now I'm just like I can't wait to see the diff. The cool thing is I'm still bone stock other than a filter so I'm gonna see how much of a diff it will make on my ET.
Best et was 14.9 bone stock and I ran about 3 or 4 14.9's
I wanna see if I'm consistant at 14.9 or better.
