Potential Maxima owner...

I am looking to trade in my wife's '95 240SX for a 2000-2001 Maxima. I have some questions first, maybe you all can help me out with.
Life with the 240 hasn't been so great. Build quality was terrible and part replacement on such a limited production car is very difficult. Can any current gen Maxima owners clue me into some of the ownership pitfalls of this car? I'm not looking for any flames - just honest experiences.
Also, here in Houston, I have not had one good experience with a dealer for service. Mossy and Baker Jackson have given me many headaches. Can anyone from SE Texas (preferably Houston) recommend a good dealer for service?
I really like the Max and am willing to buy one despite the problems with the 240 as long as I can get comfortable with the above issues. Incidentally - I have searched this forum for this info, but couldn't find anything comprehensive enough.
Thanks!

I'm from NJ...
But supposedly SouthPoint Nissan in TX is good...
I've ordered parts from them and got treated well...
Can't speak for the Service Dept' & Warranty issues though..
Nissan doesnt seem to have a good reputation on this issue..
At least not according to what I've heard here...
Just try to remember you're not buying a BMW...
Some people seem to think thats what they own...
and are disappointed when they realize they dont...
Go drive a Ford Taurus...then drive a Maxima...

Local shops will do more to earn your business and the prices should be more competitive.
Good Luck (my advice, find a 99 SE-Limited 5-spd Maxima and trade in the 240sx)
