brake quiet is applied to the back of the pads. "CRC Disc Brake Quiet is specially formulated to dampen the vibrations that cause disc brake noise. It forms a water resistant, high temperature film that will absorb noise and quiet disc braking. Applied to the back of brake pads." -quote from autobarn on the product i believe you picked up. unless you just had the pads replaced recently, you may want to consider just replacing the pads since you will be going just as far to apply the anti squeal. i have had good luck with this stuff

I use CRC brake grease religiously... laid it on heavy last weekend when I installed Axxis Metal Masters on my rear brakes. I have no squealing/grinding, although the pads do produce a strange "winding down" noise, but that might be partially related to the way the rotors were cut beforehand.

I apply liberal amounts of the stuff to the backing of the brake pads, then let it sit around for a few minutes. I think it cures, similar to silicone sealant. I also apply some to the caliper pad mount sliders at the top and bottom, plus apply some to the caliper itself, on the ring around the piston (or the piston face in the case of the rears) and the backing side of the outboard pads.

I always say if your going to do something, do it correctly, the first time.

Take your brakes apart, clean everything then apply the grease. You'll have much better results.

I just had my brakes done and watched him do it. The brake quiet gets applied to "back" (NOT the rotor side) of the brake pad . The pads are pretty easy to remove. Take em out, spray em, and then put em back in.

Replacing and/or taking the brakes apart is a piece of "cake". Should take about 45 minutes (including tire removal) to do the work.
