Tire valve seized
Tire valve seized
Anyone know how to remove a seized aluminum tire valve cover?
Haven't check the tire pressure for a while because it never looked low or needed more air. I guess it seizing made a good leak proof cover but one that can't be removed.
I tried heating it with a small flame torch but no luck, maybe just didn't do it long enough.
Dealer is saying the only way is to replace the whole valve on all four wheels.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

This is worth a try.
Liquid wrench probably with the stem pointed down. Put a few drops on every night. Aluminum does corrode so this could help disolve it.
Short of that you will have to use 2 vice grips. Use a lot of electrical tape or rubber so you dont scar the stem and cap up.

just give it some effort and have your donut handy in case you have to drive down to get it fixed. it's a cheap fix at any tire place. some even do them for free.
Thanks for all your suggestions.
I may have to bring it in to a professional if the liquid wrench does not work.
Just hate to think the wheels could get scratched by those power tire removers.
Lesson learned I guess is to use anti-seize grease with those aluminum caps.
