Bad Gas?

Today I had no $ on me and had to get home so threw in like $10 of 87 into the max. It seems on the way home it didn't feel different but after I drove around a bit the car felt VERY slow, slower than a 4 banger honda and just not as responsive, like something was holding it back. Could the cause of this simply be the gas or it being bad or something else?

Just hit 31,500 today and oil change time so I figure time for all amsoil products this weekend with a new k and n air filter and some other stuff...

you could of went to a no name gas station and get a mid grade or premium gas, but please don't put 87 gas in your Max, because its been proven that VQ do not take 87 grade gas very well.

I try to go to Sam's club and Costco to get my gas these days.

Its the knock sensor running the car in "safe mode" since you put 87 in your car. Please dont use regular, use premium. A PERFECT example on why you shouldnt use regular. It wasnt bad gas, it was a bad decision.

I have finallly started using premium gas instead of the mid grade gas since I had bought my car. I have only had it since february, so I dont think I have done too much damage. with that said, the gas and my not lighter foot, I am having much better gas mileage than with the mid grade.

what about

hey all, i've been using the "mid grade" octane rating on my car, have no probs so far. i drove long distance on highway and around town, so far nothing like what has been described here w/ the lowest grade octane gas. i know premium is better for our maxes, but my wallet takes a hit especially here in cali.

seriously, cali gas prices are crazy, but..........even though it is expensive, i've been putting 91 on my car for soo long now that the price doesn't even make a difference for me anymore. no second thoughts, i want the best for my car.

I think its a little drastic to say it has less power than a 4 banger. If it is truely the case then there is something wrong.

I put 87 in my car last time because I figured it would help me take it easy on the car lol. I was wrong, I've installed a few more mods and have been out playing with friends and stuff. I wish I just put the 92 in, lol.
