On www.groupbuycenter.com they have the piaa h3 superwhite fogs for $40 shipped.
I know others have paid more, or they recommend the philips h3s, but this seems like a good price.

What do you think?

Shingles where are you!

Well... the short answer is yes.

But then the longer answer is, I donno. It's worth it from the standpoint that it's bright. But after reading some research into lighting, I discovered that having really bright foreground lighting is not a good thing. This is because your eyes adjust to the really bright lighting in front of the car and you lose distance sight at night. PIAA certainly gives bright foreground lighting.

so it's hard to say, but at this point, I would still say yes.

BTW $40 a pair shipped is cheap. They go for $25 each here.

I second that. I paid $44.72 shipped for a pair from www.wholesalehyperformance.com, and that was the cheapest I found on the web ($18.71/bulb). Unfortunately, their color temperature is higher than that of the PIAA SW 9004's.

$40 shipped is a good price.

How to match the Platinum Super Whites H3 -->

Whith the 9004's?

I have both sets, and I agree that the hue is different (the H3 have a slight blue hue compared to the 9004 which seem to have a slight red hue)
I was wondering if the Phillips BV would match the H3's?.
What other brand may come closer to the H3?.
Of course the corner laps (next to the headlights) are even more difficult (I have raybrigs and they are a bit bluer in hue than the H3). I am closed to become a chrismas tree!

Yea...I just don't get why PIAA would make the 9004's a different Hue than the H3s....I wish I could find some that matched the H3s perfectely...that would be amazing....all I can find is REALLY blue..which looks gross projected in front of the car (almost a green projection, horrible for forward visibility)...and kinda white (PIAA's, Phillips BV, GE super blue)
