Has anyone done this? (instructions on a 96 SE would be great!)
I think I saw Cheston's page and suggested to use a heat gun to loosen the edges of the glass from the plastic housing (after removing the metal clips) and work gently the glass from the rest of the assembly.
A little spider crawled inside the headlight (by the exhaust tubing at the top of the back) and made knit a cow-web and is (of course) driving me crazy.
Also I need to clean the reflective part of the assembly, it has some oil looking aura inside that gives it a bluish rainbow reflection.

Hey guys, has any of you ever though in removing that tube like black protector around the buld? (in the 96- versions) It seems that the bulb will be able to irradiate in a wider pattern than it is allowed without affecting the reflectant pattern from the back of the headligh.

If you hit the link to my homepage down there, go to the "instructions" page...there's the how 2.

Cleaning out the inside of the headlamp >>

is a good idea...just make sure you don't leave too much dust inside from the cleaning cloth.

I would not remove the shield tube around the bulb. This part aids in giving a better beam pattern.
