Re: DAAAAAAANG

It's 80shot. It's the smallest I could go with direct port. I got a 190lph walbro pump which will support up to 350hp. With 80 more hp, I should only be in 250 range. Only thing I'm worry about is the tranny.

Did you do most of the work yourself or did you have it done? What was the cost of NOS setup?

I installed the fuel pump and plugs. The rest of was done by a shop. I'm not really up to the task for bending hard lines and drilling holes into the manifold. Parts was around $2000. The basic kit, purge, heater, remote bottle opener , fuel pressure safety switch, cool arm switch, nitrous pressure gauge, EGT gauge w/probe and MSD RPM window switch. The labor was another $1300 include installing everything and dyno tuning.

PRO: It's a little cheaper than SC. It's unique and I might run faster in the 1/4. Con: I need to fill the bottle up.

Where's the next show you're going too? I'm in the NorthEast too, I'd love to see your car and with your new rims.

Are you going to eventually get the VB mod?

How'd you divide 80hp into 6Cyl. Do you know what size the nozzles are? Because I always heard 20 was the smallest that why I didn't want to go direct the time I did it. Man it looks good if this is your first time spray'n your gonna be Woooooooooo. NOS ain't no joke pulls like crazy.

Anywho I hope the tranny hold up VB all the way.

Re: Re: Re: DAAAAAAANG

Hmm..good question. I guess I'll ask my installer. I actually want to go smaller, but my guy called NOS. He doubled check with NOS and 80hp total was the smallest available. 120hp would not be a good idea without ignition retard.

Here's kit I got from NOS. It's the 05040-FI.

Nope... not joking. I had some tranny slippage and my times went up with that slippage. Now that's resolved I'm running mid 15's again. Normally a 2000 5 speed runs 15 flat. Sometimes they can break 15. I've seen some run high 15's, if they launch badly. That would be my ONLY chance. Now from a roll... I would get beat 100% of the time. Anyway Sprung is local and I'm just messing with him. He would beat me 99% of the time. The other 1% would be Sprung driving will talking on the cell phone. LOL.

BTW- What do you run in the 1/4?

I didn't realize that you don't have any power mods. Within the next few weeks I'll have my Y-pipe, RT cat, and B-pipe installed. Along with my CAI, I should be able to brake under 15s with my 4th gen.
I don't have a 1/4 time, yet. Middle of April I'll have times for everyone.

Yeah considering that I don't have any power mods (except custom intake) and I have an automagic, my mid 15's are quite good.

Do you have auto or 5 speed? With those mods, you should be in high 14s. If you have an auto, even with those mod, 14s would be hard.
