Getting out of a lease early????
Getting out of a lease early????
A while back I looked into getting a new Nissan or something to get out of my lease. While I was there I spoke with one of the Salesman at Nissan and he said there is a way where you pay around $2000 and they will end your lease early. I don't know the term he used but I really want to look into this. I am close to my mileage limit and planned on buying the car out at the end (11 months away) but have been battling back and forth in my head if this was a good idea or not. I love the car but since I am already have 52,XXX and my limit is 58,500 I think I would rather buy a car with low miles or new since I drive 90 round trip to work each day. I do have another car so I can rotate them to keep mileage down. I know if I find a car with a nice rebate I that would cover up the mileage fee or lease payments for the next 11 months but $2000 would still work out to be cheaper in the long run. If anyone here has any thoughts or input I would really appreciate it. I have time but would like to do this soon.
Ps. I wasn't sure which section to put this in so sorry if this is the wrong one

Ok so I just got off the phone with NMAC and there is an early termination program. The guy said they don't get many calls for it and I think you specificly have to ask for it. All I said was "I was told by a salesman that if you pay a flat fee you can get out of your lease." This is all true so then he got the checklist out asking options, mileage and so on. Said that it gets sent to another department and the offer will be sent in the mail. You have 15 days to take it and this can only be done if you have more then 6 months left on your lease. I will post more after I get the offer via the mail.
