looking for seat replacement

I have a 99 SE with tan, heated, power, leather seats. I love the seats but there isn't a lot support for lateral. Does anyone know of another seat from a nissan or other manufacture that would offer the same as what I have now but with better support. (I love to corner but hate the feeling of sliding in my seat.)
Maybe the newer models have better lateral control or how about the 350z or an older 240?

Has anyone ever done this already. I looked at Corbeau seats but they don't offer tan leather.

Thanks!
Tom

Has anyone done the 350z seats? If so, can you post a picture how they feel in comparison to the maxima seats. Anyone know if the newer maxima seats feel better also?
Thanks

5th gen seats were tried (probably the same thread) but didn't fit. Sorry that I don't have any real info for you. Hopefully whoever posted the thread will show up.

thanks. That's actaully what I was looking for.

Sweet looking.
One question though. Did it feel like you were sitting higher or lower than stock. I am tall and have to make sure I don't sit any higher than I already do.

Thanks again.

Slightly lower. Keep in mind what I did: Maxima base/rails/seatpan with 350Z bottom cushion/seatback. The 350Z bottom cushion is a lot thinner. So much so that I had to raise the seatpan up in the front with bolts and washers (spacers) to get the correct seat angle. You can do that or you could use extra padding between the seatpan and cushion in the mid-thigh area. You could do this with 350Z seat parts or any other seats that you like if you take the initiative to figure it out.

so, did you just drill into the seat cushion to match the maxima rails, or did you drill holes in the rails to match the seat???

Sorry I don't have more pics to make it clear. It was much simpler than that. I used the stock Maxima base, rails, and seatpan, which all of course are bolted together. The 350Z bottom cushion simply sits on the Maxima seatpan, and the cloth wraps around the seatpan. The 350Z seatback simply bolts to the stock base. So basically, I didn't do anything. The seat is just assembled like it is from the factory, but with parts from different seats.

So this is it? This has to be one of the most lacking in Maximas. Corbeaus and 350Z seats are the only conversions that have been done? Would any of those ebay racing seats fit? Some even say they're for Maximas but don't go into detail about mounting? Anyone?

You can buy the Corbeaus sliders and use them for other seats, some may require alterign them a bit.
The ones on ebay claim they will fit maxima's using their sliders but some modifications may be needed.
Ive emailed numerous sellers.

Thanks for the info. What altering exactly would have to be done?
