Cleaning CAI filter

Is there any way to clean the filter with any home products? I have my CAI apart and I want to clean the filter, any help?

NO!!!!!

go to pep boys or your local auto store and get K&N Filter Recharger kit.. do not use anything else

i just filled up my sink with water and soap, thew the dam filter in there and let it sit for 5 mins. then i rinsed it off and good as new, no damage to the filter and i ve done this once a month ever since i had the cai. works great!

you need to use a recharger kit...the filter HAS to be oiled before use...when you installed it new it was preoiled...if you don't reoil it after cleaning...you're just asking for trouble...

You MUST you oil. Thats what traps the dirt.

Pay the money for the filter re-charger kit. Do no use soap and water. A friend of mine screwed up his engine doing it that way.
