Those pics are kinda blurry. Should should take some in the dat time so that we can see how clean the install looks.

Looks great to me! Now you never have to leave your car haha. How many channels do you get? Is it just fuzzy local ones?

I don't get any tv stations. It's not worth it to me. It costs a few hundred $$ for the tuner and all you get is fuzzy versions of local channels. I'd rather spend that money on a PS2 - games and dvd's - waht a combo. =) I'm also going to look into a nice little GPS unit this week for navigation.

That's a pretty slick setup. I can appreciate it as a Maxima enthusiast, and a computer entusiast. The other thing you could have done would be to have a standard computer case mounted somewhere, and have one of those removable hard drive bays. I use them for some people's computers as backups. If one hard drive gets screwed up, you slide it out and slide the new one in. Tigerdirect.com sells them.
Cool setup though.

But if you've got a car PC, why would you bother putting the MP3's on a CD? Seems like a waste of time (and plastic) to me.

Well, I have the computer case mounted in the trunk and I have the HD seperated so that i just disconnect the power and ide cable and I just pop it into my main computer at home and transfer files that way. I thought about removable drives, but this way is easy enough for me (and cheap!!)

I don't have the HD enclosed with the rest of the system, it's seperate so all I have to do is unplug the power and ide cable from the drive and bring it inside my house and set it up as a slave in my home computer. it takes about 5 minutes to do and is cheaper than wireless or wired connections, at least for now.

I bought them off ebay for $600 this past summer. They were MINT and came out of a 98 gle. Best "mod" I've done to my car, the leather makes the maxima a totally different car.
