firestone sh30

Stillnmax,

hey, I just got some firestone firehawk sh30's yesterday afternoon. Well, I had my yoko and damn thing just blew out on me after curbing one of my tires. Well, I was about to order the dunlop sp5000 last week when this guy from tirerack told me to look at the sh30s. Anyways, to make a long story short, I went there---and I got a set of 4...why not right? buy 3 get one free...and they are running excellent. I got them in 215/60 15" for my gle...very good cornering...quite excellent when wet...and it seems like very solid tires. I only drove 65 miles on them yesterday...but quite good. I would say they are better then the dunlop d60's or yokos...

I have the SP5000's. Excellent tire.

Today this stupid Chevy Prism cut me off as I was trying to merge onto the freeway and I had to swerve to the right abruptly. The tires squealed, but gripped so strongly I almost overcorrected! In short, these are excellent tires. I recommend them most highly.

yeah, I am

thinking to myself, well, if I keep these tires for say three years and I put x number of miles on it (warranty for 50K), I would get my money's worth.
I wanted to get the sp5000 but unfortunately tirerack does not stock the 215/60 15" size for my gle. I know that stocjk is 205/65--but I figure I go just a bit wider to get more rubber on the ground. Thus, my only option was the michelin pilot zgt h4 or the firestone.
tirerack gave these tires a pretty high recommendation and performance rating wise, it is ranked #1 among the high performance all season tires.
However, right now, the name firestone doesn't speak too loud.

I run Nitto tires on my car. I believe they are 450's.
