Y-pipe Question

Well...now that I have "pimped" out my maxima cosmetically I figured it is about damn time for some performance mods!

My first order of business is to get a y-pipe....what brand is recommended and what kinda power increase should i except from that particular brand...around 20 hp??

Also what should I do next as far as a performance MOD.....thanks!

I just had a Budget Y-pipe installed yesterday. Noticeable improvement in acceleration if I put my foot in it. No CAI, just K&N panel air filter. I am not into noise. No difference in sound when idling or cruising, just when at WOT.

I went with Budget because of a) recommendations from members in the US, and b) Canadian built, hence no import situation, exchange etc, plus the price is right C$250, including gaskets, plus C$15 shipping, plus 7%GST. I'm not sure if you have to pay the GST or if you can apply to have it refunded if you pay it.

For some reason their website has been down lately. I spoke to a Jody in Burlington, Ontario. E-mail mufflers@allstream.net or call 1-800-256-4482. She is the order taker but is only availabel until about 2:00 or 2:30 ET for some strange reason. I elected to get the silver stainless steel one, not the aluminized one. Now I have to focus on not driving it like a rented mule!
