I was wondering what parts were interchangeable between generations, especially to 5th gens. For example, can a 4th gen starter fit a 5th gen? Or can you use the 3rd gen blah blah blah for the 5th gen? I ask this because I want some reference to parts that I may need to pick at a junkyard in the future. I think this may be very useful especially to those who are spending emergency car repair funds on gas now-a-days.

 

2001-2002 5speed trannies fit 4th gens (need 5th gen axles and 4th gen speed sensor)

 

I didn't think the 02 had a 5 speed. Was that an earlier tranny before the 6 speed?

was the install difficult? i dont mean the fstb i mean the fact that is meant for diff engine bays. and is the handling any better than if you would have put a 4 gen bar?
