Will be installed tomorrow...

I paid $400 for the 3" stainless y-pipe...
$15 for the gasket set...
and $35 for Next Day Air Shipping...
I got a deal cuz this was the 1st one made...
Normal pricing will be $450 for just the y-pipe...

Will give some feedback after the install...

UT-OH!

Problem with my y-pipe!
They sent me the wrong one!
(or forgot a piece)

Opened up the box and something didnt look right...
So I looked under my car and my suspicions were confirmed...
This is NOT the right part...or is missing a part...

It looks like it would bolt to the cat fine...
It also looks like it would bolt to the rear manifold fine..
But the pipe that connects to the front manifold does NOT turn upwards...it is just straight... WTF?!?!
Either its simply the wrong part...
OR there is a piece that bolts to it and turns upwards...

Either way I'm pissed...hopefully it'll be resolved soon...

But on a better note:
THIS THING LOOKS AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!
The craftsmanship is UNBELEIVEABLE!!!!!!!
The TIG welds look like they were done by a robot.
VERY THICK flanges!!!
GREAT QUALITY STUFF!!!!!!!!

(Now if it only fit)

They've been very helpful so far...
I'm sure they'll work this out pretty quick...

upper elbow, don't think you will be getting one. I don't think cattman makes them, as that cat will cause idiot lights once removed. The part that goes straight connects to the stock unit.

On my 4th gen, they both went up. On the 5th gen unit it does not.

Re: UT-OH!

Is your car cali-spec, because the Y-pipe you described is for a cali-spec.

No...my car is Federal Emission...
I told them that about 50 times...
And the part number ordered WAS for the Fed. Spec...
It even had the Fed. Spec Part # on the pipe itself...
Maybe it was mislabeled in the wrong box...
Hope i hear from Brian soon...
Unfortunately he's in New Zealand for the next three weeks..
DOH!

All 5th gens have the same emissions systems as far as I know...

So fed or cali spec would take the same Y-pipe. I think you got the right one Adam.

So your saying the FED and Cali are the same? I know they rent for the 4th gens and i know my 99 takes a 2k Y-pipe design.

Adam-havent seen yah in the longest time. I've tried to callya a few times as well. Anyways, enjoy the y-pipe when you get the RIGHT one. Hey, where is there a dyno and how much? You know anyone who fills the "bottle"?

Supposedly they're 21 lbs each (rims only).
Yea...3" should be enough for the TT/SC.
