Whats up. Ok this is my project many have seen me work on over the past 2 yrs. Many thanks to all the members who helped with the probelms and ideas ive came across.
No this is not custommaximas... whatever project. i bulit this thing with my own hands so please be forgiving if you see a few body imperfections..

These pictures do no justice as far as how the paint changes from blue to purple . Im trying to scan a few pics now to put up as well.

see cardomain PAGE 5.

http://www.cardomain.com/id/mdubya

The color is from a 03'SVT BluePearcoat. BC/CC PPG Paint w D Chormabase clear.

Everything on this car i got off maxima.org or a vendor in some sort. This place seriously kicks azz. Thanks again guys.. later.

You put 6 coats of clear on it? A professional body shop guy I know (and award winning painter) told me that anything after 3 coats won't help at all. Anyway, not important...

I definitely like the color and the work (and of course the car). Did you wetsand each coat?

Looks very good, and original. But having those orange corners with now drop is killing your car. those would be with out a doubt my next mods if i were you. always get a drop before rims! but all in all, i am impressed... good work man!

Kooks good. I like the hood scoop alot because you made it functional. Why did you not go for the complete 97-99 conversion? I notice you already change the front and rear bumper, why not the trunk too since it was damage with hail.

My car has almost the same color, I got my car painted with House of Kolor Shimrin true blue pearl.

Awesome job! Did you do the work yourself or did you have a shop do it? How much did it cost for that job?

nice color, maybe try painting the chrome part of the grill since i dont see any other chrome on the car. a drop and bigger rims would be nice too.

so far so good. keep up the good work, if the hail doesnt stop holding you back

car looks great like the color, but it would look much cleaner if you got rid of the orange bumper lights and tails..

Holy crap 12 coats.. you wetsanded between coats? Better have or thats way too much paint.. Nice gun though SATA is a good one. Not sure I like that much purple in it but if you like it thats cool. No runs eh? It's ok if you do, If you don't ever get runs, you don't paint.

Woah Thank You all so much for the responses.

1st. I like the Orage side makers.. kinda original. im not into anything clear and the top corners are orange too<nxt to the headlights.

The HEIGHT.. ya in those pics it does look very tall. the 17" Pontenza Black chrome wheels made w/ 50series Kuhmo tires makes it sit perfect i think.
In the pic there Michellins up front and Kuhmo in the back.

Btw, I cant stand to scrap.. and i drive to many places in the woods.. float trips.. gravel... ahh.. so im tryin to keep the paint nice too i guess.

With stock springs it looks hard, rides like a caddy, and blazes past an rsx.

For the 97 Conversion. I only did just the front. Its a full 97 stillen kit, but the 95 Rear bumper is stock. I just cut off like 2 inches of each side skirt and re-rivit the ends with the stock pieces.. kinda tircky. So its kinda like a 95-99 mixed in back there. I didnt like the 95 rear at all so thats why i did it like that.
Notice: I cut the center front thing where a Liscense plate WOULD go. Looks weird a little.

THE WORK: Yes i did all the body, sanding , bs and more bs with this entire car. Many spots i just brought down to bare metal bc it ws horrible hail.
The PPG omni paint didnt cover for crap. (MY Cousin Helped me with Final Coats)
after coat 3 on color we barely saw it cover good over the primer. then 2-3more were just to make sure. For the Clear well i ran out after 2 coats of the PPG Omni clear.. yes i know cheap paint but it gets the job done..
"I though, well hey how about i just buy that gallon of Dupont chroma 2000 and you put those 2 more coats on eh!"<-cousin.
Needless to say we just used it all and he waited a good 15 to lay the last coat.. Any yeah i forgot to mention.. 1 run.

Anyway thanks for all the compliments guys, appreciated much.

I MUST get a Real Photo to show some side shots/color changes of this.
Anyone know if this copy thing on my printer is really that great or should i ever try to use it....its a new lexmark printer.

thanks, mwest.

Looks pretty sweet, the contrast between that color and the front orange signals actually looks real nice to me. Not feeling the rear taillights though, but each to his own. Nice Job
