Yeah I had the camshaft pos sensor code awhile back. Symptoms were: car would stall at random times at a light. Upon stalling it would take like 5 minutes to start (embarrassing). On cold starts it would take a while for the car to start. kept on cranking and cranking and cranking.

Apparently it's normal for these sensors to eventually die. To replace the CPS cost about $90 Solved the problem right away.

Yup, I had plenty of starting problems. Started with the CTS. It wouldnt start. Changed sensor, car started, but wasn't always smooth starting (had to crank a few times). Changed 2 crankshaft sensors, and camshaft sensor, but still started like crap. Turned out to be my starter. But if you have a bad coolant temp sensor, it will make the car difficult to start (i remember it took me 15 mins once of cranking over and over). Cps is liek 20 bucks at autozone,,,,,,,sounds like thats your case......

We had a similar problem on iansw car. Turned out the harness for the CPS rubbed up against the S/C pulley some how and grounded itself out. It can definately cause your car not to run.
